Drift Revolution

Another great Mercedes game. This one is more advanced though, there are quite a few factors you need to take notice of as you do the 8 figure drift. This makes me feel as if I’m really controlling the outcome of the drift since I see the angle, acceleration and all. A very well made game.

Did you know?             Equipping your RC Drift Car

You love drifting but you are scared for your life. You’ve heard of the adrenaline of drifting in a car but you’ve also heard of the accidents that may occur. But you still want to have the thrill of drifting. The solution for you is drifting using a remote controlled drifting car. They are designed to reproduce what you see in drifting games. They are safe and will not harm anyone. Well they might get damaged by hitting objects in the surrounding but the parts are very cheap and easy to replace. So in this guide we will show you how to make your own RC drifting car.

The main component in the RC drifting car is the electric motor. The best type of motor will be an electric one since the nitro models will easily burn out the clutch and also overheat the engines while drifting. Nitro models are also generally more difficult to control. It is preferred to choose a shaft drive RC car instead of a belt drive none since shaft drive usually provide better throttle response while belt drive can have some backlash issue due to the design. Most RC cars used in drifting games use shaft drives.

Also, you might want to go with a 4×4 machine as it will make the drifting easier and better. If you are serious about drifting games, then you have to buy a high torque motor for your vehicle. You can get one of the standard Mabuchi 450 which will be good but buying a 19 turn motors for your car is the best. Prepare your car for acceleration rather than top speed since top speed is generally not considered in drifting games. The next components are tires. You will need to buy appropriate tires since drifting RC car requires different ones. Most RC drift cars are equipped with tires made out of PVC pipes or ABS pipes or even rubber tires wrapped in electrical tape.

You can make your own set of PCV tires if you don’t want to spend around hundred bucks for that. To do so, you will need to purchase 10 feet long and 2 inch diameter PVC pipe which should be present in most hardware stores. Be sure to buy those which are as round as possible as you might encounter certain shops selling oval shaped PVC pipes. When they say 2 inch diameter, please note that not all are exactly 2 inch in diameter. Some of them will fit into your RC car easily while some might be larger. For larger tires, simply wrap duct tape around your rim 3 to 4 times and it should provide enough snug for the PVC pipe to fit in properly inside.
