The handling is exactly what you expect in real life condition and the level of difficulty is high enough to make you keep playing this game. The choices of locations in the game are very well chosen. They chose only the best and quite hard courses to make you want to play more until you finish all of the game. The tire marks are very real and the graphics very attractive.

Did you know? Weather and Drifting

Drifting relies heavily on weather, every change in weather requires special care and special tweaks to the car. You might not see it as that important but every driver in drifting games hate when weather changes and all of them love when is it a fine day.

For a starter, a fine day means nothing other than yourself affecting your drifting games skills. You go through the whole course by yourself and rely solely on the skills you have and the marks you get. This is the optimum condition as you know that if you lose, you only have yourself to blame and means you need to practice much harder.

Now let’s imagine it was raining, rain is one of the worst enemy of drivers. They affect the whole condition of drifting games. Rain will make the track wet or slippery, which means the driver not only has to drift properly, but have to take extra care because less traction is available on a slippery road. Drivers will tend to over drift and may end up failing the course. This is very dangerous as well for them. Because they will be going at those curbs with high speed, any miscalculated slip and they might be sent off course. The tires as well need to be changed. This is a major disadvantage, you have to change tires and be very careful not to slid more than is needed in the already very challenging drifting games.

Snow is another major factor affecting drifting games. Just like the rain, snow will make the road even slipper and more dangerous. The snow as well will reduce traction immensely and makes even the best drivers scared because everyone one knows it is very hard to drive fast on snow. Now imagine they have to drive very face and actually lose control of the car while it is drifting. Snow and drifters do not go hand in hand obviously. If you are learning how to drift, never attempt to start your first session in snowy condition, you might end up hurting not only you, but someone or something around you

The next up is haze, or mist. They may not make the road slippery like rain or snow. But they pretty make sure you have extremely reduced visibility. If the mist is too heavy, then drifting games are cancelled, but if it is only a little, the games are continued. This puts everyone in a very bad position. They have to race for the best time in a reduced vision. They need to be extra careful, one missed turn and they go straight out of track and probably lose precious time and points for going out of track.

Did you know? Risks of Drifting

It is undeniable that drifting games are very popular all over the world. Even, as a driver, trying to drift your car has at least crossed your mind once. Seeing a corner or a very large empty patch of land usually makes you want to try drifting. But what you have seen in movies or videos are very skilled people who have tried and practiced many times before they actually perform it live. It is discouraged to try drifting if you are not familiar with the techniques. Drifting games comprises of very huge risk both to the car and to the driver as well.

To begin with, you will need to have a very good driving skill and an impeccable reaction time. In these drifting games, one split second of mistake can lead to a very disastrous consequence. So if you don’t know how to drive, don’t even think about drifting. Make sure also that you do not try to drift on wet or uneven surfaces as it can get way beyond out of control. Always perform drift on a tarmac surface that is dry and not on sand, gravel or grass.

It is vital for you to wear a seatbelt at all times not just for safety but also for the acceleration. It is dangerous to drive without safety belt. Make sure that there is no one around and always give your passengers the option to leave the car before you attempt any drifting games as it might be dangerous not only for you but for everyone around. You should always check your tire pressure before and after each burnout as a bad level of pressure can cause the car to flip. Make sure to never drink and drift.

Drifting is illegal in many countries and states. In Australia, drifting in a crowded area or in a habitat can cause you to lose your car. In many states of the USA, it is also illegal and charges for drifting include “Driving Recklessly”, “Unsafe Turning Movement” or even “Disorderly conduct of a vehicle”. These charges are very serious and there is no chance of correction by traffic school.

Drifting games also bear risks for your car. Any time during the drift, you can have a blowout, meaning your tire can burst and this can cause the car to flip over or cause you to lose control over the car. You can also destroy your car axle if you try to do a burnout and did not achieve it properly. This will make you lose the directions of your vehicle. Finally, you can also break your clutch system if not performed properly and needless to say that it is extremely dangerous and you can not only harm you or your car but even people in the surrounding.

Did you know? Guide to reproduce a Peel Out

You’ve seen it in movies, you’ve seen it in your area and you’ve definitely seen it before. Burnouts are one of the most famous drifting games that exist and although it is very fascinating to watch, it comprises of certain risk to you and your car. They are also known as peel put or power break and is among the most watched kind of drifting games. Bear in mind that although it is really fascinating to watch a burnout, it comprises multiple risks both to the driver and the car if not properly done and can result in severe accidents. In this guide we are going to teach you how to achieve the burnout with minimal risk but keep in mind that it is dangerous and if you are not familiar with the techniques, it is better to drop it.

First of all, safety is of the upmost importance, not only for you but for people around as well. So to begin with, make sure to choose a location that is not crowded and also has a very large empty surface area with no lamp post or anything you might collide with. Now the next step is to determine whether your car is a front wheel drive or a rear wheel drive car. The second thing to check is to see whether your hand brake is working fine. If so, you are ready to engage in one of the world’s most dangerous drifting game.

For FWD (Front Wheel Drive), follow these steps carefully. First of all, put the car in first gear and hold the clutch. After that, hit on the accelerator pedal without releasing the clutch. This step is also called reving the engine. Let the engine go for around four seconds and then pull the handbrake and release the clutch. This will cause your car to instantly get a boost and depending on circumstances will most likely produce a burnout. You can control the burnout by releasing or tightening the handbrake. To stop the burnout, let go of the accelerator slowly while freeing the brake. This is a basic peel out and very common among the drifting games.

For RWD (Rear Wheel Drive), it is slightly different. The first step is to gently press the brake with your left foot. After that, gently push the accelerator until you feel the car moving slightly forward. Immediately and at the same time, hit the gas to the max and press the brake even harder. This Is if you have an automatic car. For manual cars, you should first hit the clutch and rev the engine. And in a very quick motion, release the clutch and hit the pedal to the floor while hitting the brakes as well.

Did you know? Equipping your RC Drift Car

You love drifting but you are scared for your life. You’ve heard of the adrenaline of drifting in a car but you’ve also heard of the accidents that may occur. But you still want to have the thrill of drifting. The solution for you is drifting using a remote controlled drifting car. They are designed to reproduce what you see in drifting games. They are safe and will not harm anyone. Well they might get damaged by hitting objects in the surrounding but the parts are very cheap and easy to replace. So in this guide we will show you how to make your own RC drifting car.

The main component in the RC drifting car is the electric motor. The best type of motor will be an electric one since the nitro models will easily burn out the clutch and also overheat the engines while drifting. Nitro models are also generally more difficult to control. It is preferred to choose a shaft drive RC car instead of a belt drive none since shaft drive usually provide better throttle response while belt drive can have some backlash issue due to the design. Most RC cars used in drifting games use shaft drives.

Also, you might want to go with a 4×4 machine as it will make the drifting easier and better. If you are serious about drifting games, then you have to buy a high torque motor for your vehicle. You can get one of the standard Mabuchi 450 which will be good but buying a 19 turn motors for your car is the best. Prepare your car for acceleration rather than top speed since top speed is generally not considered in drifting games. The next components are tires. You will need to buy appropriate tires since drifting RC car requires different ones. Most RC drift cars are equipped with tires made out of PVC pipes or ABS pipes or even rubber tires wrapped in electrical tape.

You can make your own set of PCV tires if you don’t want to spend around hundred bucks for that. To do so, you will need to purchase 10 feet long and 2 inch diameter PVC pipe which should be present in most hardware stores. Be sure to buy those which are as round as possible as you might encounter certain shops selling oval shaped PVC pipes. When they say 2 inch diameter, please note that not all are exactly 2 inch in diameter. Some of them will fit into your RC car easily while some might be larger. For larger tires, simply wrap duct tape around your rim 3 to 4 times and it should provide enough snug for the PVC pipe to fit in properly inside.

Did you know? Best 10 Drift Cars

Ever wondered what ride you should consider for drifting games? Should you go for a stock car or a high-end class? There’s a lot of options here, they would all require some serious car or maybe not if you choose a cheaper alternative. But without further ado, let’s get down to the Best 10 Drift Car ever.

In The 10th position will be the Nissan 350Z, the fair lady what most of them would call. This car has made its proof in the drifting games and is a very solid and good car for drifting. The downside it is too expensive.

The 9th position goes to Skyline R34 GT-T, an icon in drifting games. It’s known for its performance and stability. The Skyline R34 GT-T offers great stability during sharp turns and excellent Rear brake power. It’s a must if you can afford it.

Coming on 8th position is the Nissan Silvia S13.This car started the drifting legend of the Silvia. The first of its series, the Nissan Silvia S13 boast great drifting capabilities and is a low budget car, making it accessible to near-anyone.

For our 7th position place, it goes to Nissan Silvia S14, successor of the Nissan Silvia S13, the S14 is more expensive than the S13 but with better performance. It certainly inherited all the performance of the S13 and made an even better version.

6th position is for the Toyota Supra, the first thing that will strike you about this car is the exotic look it will bring on the tracks of the drifting games. It also has an insane performance and very good for drifting.

Halfway Champion in 5th position is Mazda RX-7 (FD3S) which is a very popular car in drifting games but is only available in a very limited quantity. It does have a lot of downside and that damages its reputation.

In the 4th position is the Nissan 180SX/200SX, this car is a very common choice in drifting games since it is a very cheap car and is very good on drifting so this car definitely have its place in the 4th position.

For the 3rd place, this goes to Nissan Silvia S15, which is the best of all the Silvia in drifting games. It is a very good car for drifting but the turn down here is the price of this great car. It brings out the Silvia drifting power so easily

The 2nd place goes to Toyota Corolla AE86. Everyone in the drifting games will know about this car because it is the most popular car for drifting ever, it slides very easily and will be a very good car to drift with if you are learning from it.

And last but not least, at the 1st place is the Toyota Altezza, which is considered to be the Trueno’s successor. This car trumps it all in terms of drifting. And the plus side, it is a very cheap car to start up the drifting games.

Did you know? Car parts for Drift

Drifting games can be achieved with stock car (a non-modified car) but to really push the car to the limit and feel the extreme, you know you have to boost your little monster by a huge leap. Many parts of the car are essential in improving its response and drifting abilities. Each component if tweaked in the right way, can be crucial in winning drifting games. So if you can afford it, do it. And you’ll be a champ in your local drifting games before you know it.

Now the first part of a car we will be looking into is the Body kit. Drifting is made easier if you remove all the unnecessary junk in the car, like the back seats or the interior decoration. By removing all these, your car is lighter, and therefore will then to slide easier because it does not have that much weight which would have caused more traction. Professionals strip the car body kit to the bare minimum and put in a frame around them that will protect them in case of an accident. This is a very good idea, not only they are protected by a frame, they also lighten the car by a huge gap so that they can boost up their exit and entrance speed. It’s the most basic and cheapest modification because you are only removing what was inside, it should not cost you much, if anything.

The next is the suspension. These are very important as they control the limit your car can bend on one side while drifting. They usually use a very high spring in professional level. This makes sure that when entering a corner, they will not risk overturning their car and they can easily bounce back on track thanks to the long suspension. Most manufactures now make custom suspension so that people can buy and enter drifting games directly. Suspension level varies from each individual, some prefer it hard to feel it, while others would damper it so it goes rather smoothly.

The two last components would be the engine and the tires. The engines need to be able to give you short and rapid acceleration because this greatly helps you to lose traction. So you might look into investing into an engine that will make it work out. It does not really have to be a V8 supercharged turbo, though if you can afford it, do not hesitate! It just need to pack enough power to make your ride start out fast. The horse power varies from car to car depending on the weight of the car.

The next is tires. Obviously..tires are an essential in drifting games. Front tires require better wheels while usually they use second hand tires as they are cheaper and thus easily replaced.

Did you know? History of Drifting

No one knows for sure exactly where the concept of drift started but most of them point it towards Japan around 30 years ago. It is rumored that it all started with Kunimitsu Takahashi, whereby he was driving in a race and drifted through a tight corner to get a high-speed exit. He earned a lot of fam by this style and since then initiated the drifting style.

With more and more people adopting this style, Keiichi Tsuchiya, later known as the Drift King, went and organized the first of the many to come drifting games called the D1 Grand Prix. With his unique drifting skills, he was champion of a lot of drifting games competition. Since this Grand Prix, drifting games has gained a lot of popularity, pushing a lot of fans and passionate drivers to try out this smoking style of driving. The thing that most of them like is they give you a very high-speed exit so you can gain time since you do not brake much.

For countries out of Asia, in the western region, they only learned about drifting in around 1996 where Keiichi and some other experts in drifting games, came to America to introduce drifting games by organizing the first drifting games in California. The drifting games then exploded in America with thousands and thousands of enthusiasts learning and doing drifts. This trend then went on to catch people from Australia and Europe. Competitions were held worldwide, attracting masses of fans to watch their favorite drifters. Championships erupted worldwide as the drifting games start to set in as a serious sporting event instead of show-off.

Nowadays, drift is a term all drivers know, and even though they do not realize it, drifting games is now one of the must watch event. A lot of competition in a lot of countries is done. Malaysia, Australia, Italy, United States, United Kingdom, Bangladesh, Canada all host drifting competition every year and attract a lot of media. Most of them in the competition link up several turn in a race in one single drift. They have perfected the drifting games to a professional level and made drifting games something famous.

Drifting games are also practiced in the underground world, which is illegal. A lot of tuned car would then race in parking lots or on the tight streets as they attempt to be drift king of the underground world. Though considered illegal and dangerous, a lot of people still practice it since they cannot make it to the official tournament but still want to race and win competitions. Japan is famous for these underground drifting games as demonstrated by the movie “Fast and Furious – Tokyo Drift”.

Did you know? Drifting Games

Drift has boomed around 2006 when the Action movie “Fast and Furious – Tokyo Drift” was released and brought this culture of extreme modification and drifting games to the whole world. Drifting games have started booming everywhere now and then. It has now massed up a lot of supporters from every part the world. Media now broadcast drifting games as it captivates the fans and new supporters on the techniques of this extreme sport.

Drifting is the action of driving your car by sliding it sideways. By making the car lose traction, one can make his/her car slide sideways and make turns faster. Drifting games are organized, though they try to finish as fast as possible, they are judged on their skills and level of execution and style rather than speed. The more chain drift they do, the higher their score. Most professional drivers in drifting games do not speed to finish, but try as much as they can to do a combo drift.

How are they judged then? Let’s take and an example, let’s say there is a 90 degrees turn to the right ahead. The in-point, which is the part where they start to drift, the closer they are to the right corner, the more marks they get. During the turn, they have to stabilize their car to continue the track, they have to plan their exit-point. Now while counter-steering the closer they are to the left corner, the more marks they get. They can either continue straight, or continue drifting to another corner.

It’s something that takes a lot of time to perfect, but is a pure eye candy when performed well. A lot of cars are tuned specifically to satisfy the demand of these drifting games. Nowadays the competition has gotten tougher, where they pit two drivers at the same time in a very close drift game, where they are most of time inches apart from each other. As the tires smoke up and the engines roaring fire up the entire crowd, they must chain drift all the way through the track to make the best score. With someone pitting against you, you have less space to control your drift, and you might not be at the right corner to earn the maximum score, therefore they have to incorporate pinpoint accuracy in steering, braking, accelerating and speed. The faster you are, the more chance you have to be in front and choose the highest scoring side of a corner.

Drifting games are one of the sports that is gaining popularity day by day and will continue to amaze a lot of people with those extreme turns and smoke from those screeching tires.

Did you know? Four wheel drive

As you know, four wheel drive is one in which all four wheels are responsible for propelling the car. Again four wheel drive is a little like the front wheel drive. The two front wheels are used for both turning and driving. So just like the front wheel drive, a four wheel drive will tend to under steer. But still, there are a lot of four wheel drive used in drifting games, like the Skyline GT-R which is one of the most popular car in drifting games.

Now why is it not practical for beginners? Because put simply, the front wheel will force will give you a hell of a trouble to drift since they always tend to under steer, but it will only be half as hard since the two rear tires are giving you the driving force as well. Over steer is the key point to drift, so four wheel drive is better than a front wheel drive, since you can over steer because of the rear wheels.

To make you four wheels drive drift, you will need to make your rear wheels lose traction. You will not be able to make it over steer much, so a different technique is used. You need to make the wheels spin in place and then turn. To make this possible, you will need to make your way to the entry-point, then shift down your gear so you get a higher range of RPM (revolution per minute), and hit the gas pedal to make the rear wheels lose traction and spin in place. Then by using the front wheels, you need to control perfectly, lose enough traction to drift. You will need to monitor your speed very carefully, to fast and you’ll go out of control, to slow, your drift will end prematurely. So practice is the key to a success in drifting games if you are using a four wheel drive.

If you think this is simple, you are terribly mistaken, the steps above are VERY hard to master. You need to get every step of the way with pin point accuracy or you will not drift properly. It takes years of practice and car modification to get perfect drifting games. Four wheels drive car are faster than rear wheel drive car because of its four driven wheels, so if you managed to master it, you are way ahead of your other competitors in drifting games.

Now remember, you need a lot of car modifications and practice before you can pull a perfect drift from a four wheel drive. Do not attempt to use a four wheel drive if this is your first time learning how to drift. You might end up severely injured.

Did you know? Why not front wheel drive?

If you have read the article about why rear wheel drive is best for drifting games, then this question is pretty much straight-forward. Front wheel drive are cars that are propelled by the front wheel, the front wheel moves the entire car and also is responsible for turning, the rear wheels are only there to support and move along. The rear wheel does not control anything. It basically just follows the front wheels. Which is why it makes it harder to use them in drifting games.

For a quick reference, rear wheel drive have a shared task for all the four wheels, the ones at the back will give the driving force to move the car, while the two front wheel will give the direction of the drift and it’s counter steer to make the car go back into a straight position. For the front wheel drive cars though, the front wheel is responsible for both TURNING and DRIVING. So you cannot lose much traction on it. The back wheel do not work much in a front wheel drive car.

Compared to back wheel drive which normally over steer, front wheel drive naturally under steer. Even at high speed, they under steer, this is because it has to push the car forward and turn at the same time, so it will under steer. Try the shopping cart again for a reference. Try pulling it from the front, the smaller part of the cart. Now give a very sharp turn and pull faster, you will notice that the cart will slide outward dangerously and you will not be able to control it properly. Be careful again not to knock anything down. This is the difference between front and rear wheel drive and the reason why rear wheel drive car are preferred for drifting games.

Now it is not impossible to drift with a front wheel drive, it is just hard. To achieve over steer, you will need to give your car very hard, fast and short braking. This is very difficult to master, but once you get it, it will seem like a breeze. By giving those hard, fast and short braking, you will make the car oversteer only a little. It is important not to lose too much traction or your will keep sliding in that direction and lose control. Therefore this is the reason why front wheel drive will need a very slow approach speed around a corner. Too fast speed will cause the car to lose control.

This is why front wheel drive cars are at a disadvantage compared to the rear wheel drive. But this does not mean you cannot participate in drifting games with it, just you either have to be very good at it, or you will be very disadvantaged compared to the others.
